Hi, I’m raechel marie.

I offer guidance for those seeking a holistic approach towards healing and who are ready to embark on a journey of transformation. I honor your innate healing capacity, and offer support in allowing the wisdom you contain to flourish, and rekindling that sacred inner fire, reawakening the sacred wild.

I weave various modalities that I’ve been working with personally and cultivating through my own healing journey. Most recently I’m attending NUNM to study acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. This includes various modalities, utilizing acupuncture, teishin, moxabusin, chinese herbs, cupping, qigong and shiatsu massage. The decision to embark upon grad school was based on the desire to deepen the wisdom and knowledge I’d been building through studies of western herbalism, nutrition and astrology, along with my experiences working with ayahuasca and Kambo, which were very pivotal on my journey.

I enjoy provoking connections to local and regenerative systems and attuning to the rhythms and cycles of nature. To honor and be held by the rhythms and cycles that we dance within is to anchor more deeply into our divine existence, create greater coherence, expand our sense of vitality, and discover the flow where we can create space to find the magic within the mundane.

Life is a ritual. Infuse it with your magic.

My healing journey

My symptoms seemed to be auto-immune related. Deep exhaustion, intense anxiety and depression, low thyroid with tests that showed positive for Hashimoto’s, hair loss, hormonal disregulation, skin rashes, eczema, psoriasis, allergies, and myriad digestive issues. I experienced a downward spiral of symptoms, and the most challenging was when I felt my mental stability slipping. I felt I was on a precipice and I didn’t want to fall off the edge.

Thankfully as I was stuyding herbalism, my teacher focused on gut health and the idea that I coculd heal through diet and lifestyle was planted. I had learned that inflammation is the root cause of so many forms of disease, and one of the root causes of inflammation is the diet. So much of healing begins in the gut, and what we consume is pivotal for our health. The foundation of my healing journey was working with an anti-inflammatory diet (auto-immune paleo), with profound healing results.

Yet there were deeper issues to address, and from there the journey became more psycho-spiritual. Despite being disciplined in my diet, I found myself still enmeshed in addictive behaviors, and the restrictive nature of the diet contributed to a sense of isolation. It often feels so challenging, espcially being embedded i this consumer culture, where temptations surround us and the grocery isles are lined with products leaning more towards toxin than nourishment. on top of that, dealing with the daily grind which leaves us with minimal time to tend to ourselves, and can leave the spirit feeling diminished. It was crucial for me to keep the fire of my spirit alive, and move towards work that I felt passioinate about. I opened myself to new resources-through community, from the plant, fungal and animal kingdoms, from realms of astrology, and most importantly, from within.

I dove deeper into my practices, and continuously explored what inspired me and deeply nourished my being. I continued to learn, expanding my knowledge and wisdom through chinese medicine, falling in love with my studies, and discovering the paradoxes and balances of walking a path of healing and transformation. I learned about myself, what I needed, how to honor my truth. I learned to connect more deeply, to build personal relationships with the plants and planets, to reawaken sensuality, embrace empowerment and to discover the deeper wisdom that was carried within. I was able to connect when I slowed down, honored the natural rhythms, and listened from deep within.

I’ve often had one foot in the “system” and one foot out, though I find myself tending more and more alternative. I honor the pre-med background I have, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and the foundation it provided to build upon. Since completing that in 2011, I completed a 3 year clinical herbal program at Vital Ways with recently deceased teacher Christopher Smaka. I want to honor him and the way he influenced my healing journey. He specialized in nutrition and through the resources he shared, I changed my diet and the trajectory of my health journey. His wisdom helped me decide to take my health into my own hands and avoid taking medications that my naturopath wanted to put my on.

I completed a 1 year program at the Portland School of Astrology and am finishing the Night Light Astrology first year course in Hellenistic Astrology. Tracking the transits and cycles over many years has allowed me to continuously deepen my relationship with the planets and cultivate my wisdom of the influences of the cosmic weather.

Through my own healing journey I began working with Kambo. After working with Kambo over the course of four years I felt called to step into service as a medicine carrier, so that I could share the deep, powerful, transformative essence of Kambo with others who felt aligned with this medicine. I began a 4 month long mentorship program with Yessia Elaine Muse to be initiated as a Kambo practitioner. Ever since I’ve been consistently cultivating my practice and honoring this medicine.

I’m continuously deepening my practices and wisdom through all of these modes, working with the medicines through my own journey and continuosly soaking in knowledge and information from classes, mentors, books, workshops, lectures, conferences and podcasts.
