what can i do to prepare?

  • be intentional with your diet, especially 1 week prior

  • i recommend local, whole foods with maximum amount of fruit and vegetables, less carbs, dairy and meat

  • limit or ideally cut out alcohol and other substances, especially 1 week prior and 72 hours prior

  • develop your intention

  • plan for your integration time and practices afterwards

how long does the ceremony last?

For individuals expect two hours, 3 hours for couples and 4 for groups.

how often or how many times?

Many traditions work with Kambo 3 times in a moon cycle, to fully clear blocks and move forward with intentions. Depending on what your intentions and health conditions are you may want to use it more or less often.

can you tell me about the experience of sitting with kambo?

It varies a lot depending on the level of health you have going into ceremony and how the medicine is working with your body and being. It’s typical for the heart rate and blood pressure to increase, and to feel the body temperate rise. You may also feel the face swell, sense tingling and numbness, buzzing in the head and weakness. Before purging you will feel nausea. It’s helpful to sit with these sensations with curiosity and trust, anchoring yourself through intention and breath.
